Ultimate Ears Introduce iPhone-Friendly Headphones

Ultimate Ears Introduce iPhone-Friendly Headphones
Ultimate Ears, the headphone manufacturer initially started by Van Halen’s audio engineer Jerry Harvey, but now owned by well-known peripheral company Logitech, have introduced five new pairs of headphones this week, with two being designed for use with the iPhone.
The 500vi and 200vi are both noise-isolating earphones, offering excellent sound clarity and bass response.  The 500vi model sits above the 200s in the range, and according to the press release offer ‘a detailed and immersive sound stage’.  The 200vi earphones are aimed at the more style-conscious listener and are available in three colors; black, blue or pink.
The 3.5mm headphone jack makes them suitable for all devices, but there are two extras that make them ideal for the iPhone owner who is serious about their music.  The first is a built-in microphone and the second is a set of in-line controls, with a button to switch between your music and an incoming call, plus a volume control and a pause button.  Using these negates the need to dig your phone out of your pocket, bag or armband when it rings.
Finally, if you choose the 500vi’s, in addition to the five standard ear cushions ranging from XXS to Large that are included, you’ll get a pair of Comply foam cushions too.  Both the 500vi and the 200vi are expected to launch during September in the US and will retail for $79.99 and $39.99 respectively.
