One of the more popular iPhone and iPod touch accessories has always been external battery packs — there seems to have always been a strong demand and given that we have seen numerous companies offering numerous options. That said, one of the more prominent names in that product line is mophie.
And it seems as if they have returned once again with a new offering. Their latest is called the Juice Pack Reserve and its designed to work with the iPhone and/or iPod touch. The nice part here is that the Juice Pack Reserve is not a case style battery like some of the others, so it will work with any of the available models including the iPhone 4.
The Juice Pack Reserve is described as a “sleek, key chain sized external battery.” And the small part is the part that sounds nice because it means it should not add any extra weight or bulk into your already overcrowded gearbag.
Otherwise, the Juice Pack Reserve features a retractable connector, LED flashlight, LED power indicators and is powered by a 1000 mAh “breakthrough” rechargeable lithium polymer battery. Additionally, those who make a purchase can also expect to get more than 500 charge cycles.
In terms of price, expect to pay $39.95. And for those looking for a little more power — Mophie also has the Juice Pack Boost, which is essentially the same product. Well, its a little larger in overall size and comes with a 1500 mAh battery and a $59.95 price tag.
