Sony has announced that it will be launching a PlayStation App on the Apple AppStore. The app will be free and will only be available in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and The Netherlands in its initial release.
From this app, you’ll be able to do the following:
- Check out your PlayStation Network trophies and keep up to date with your friends’ games and online status.
- Discover all the latest games, news and hardware for your PlayStation 3, PSP and PlayStation 2.
- Read all the announcements on the European PlayStation.Blog.
- Share your favourite products or news with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or via e-mail.
You may be able to do even more as Sony adds more features in the future (hopefully).
iOS 4.0+ is required for iPhone and iPod Touch to be able to use this app. In addition, for those of you with Android based devices, this app will also be available for Android OS 1.6+.
